What is the sound of the Hudson Valley? One Quiet Plunge presents country/…/city/…/, a program that explores the uniqueness of Valley’s rural and urban landscapes through sound. Commissions of new works by Mark Dziuba, Vinnie Martucci, Caroline Mallonée, and Hannah Selin grew from locales that held personal meaning for each composer and will be premiered by Christiana Fortune-Reader (viola) and Alex Peh (piano). 5pm on Sunday, August 19 at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon and 8pm on Tuesday, September 18 on the campus of SUNY New Paltz.
